Interdependent Society Surkhet is a not-for-profit, non-government organisation inaugurated in District Administration Office on Sept. 26, 1999 with representatives of 138 groups and 10 main committees of 10 V.D.Cs., formed in V.D.C. level from community group and representatives of the group started by United Mission to Nepal, Surkhet Project with concept of process oriented development. It is based on concept of one home one member and now ISS has 2196 members where 1388 are women members.Have a long-term, local presence in throughout municipalities and rural municipalities of surkhet district, capital of Karnali Pradesh. ISS provides practical know-how to make a sustainable difference in the lives of people living in poverty by helping them in education, gender equality and social inclusion, climate change and resilience, raise incomes and access basic services with regard to health and overall prosperity. We actively maintain strong collaboration, networking and coordination with community people and entire concerned stakeholders.

ISS is the community based network organization and committed for the empowerment of poor and marginalized people to achieve the prosperous status of community of underprivileged people by following the principle of leaving no one behind. With strong and meaningful participation of the people, we are moving forward to establish equitable and dignified status of poor people. The executive committee develops and manages to implement different policies and procedures, establish good co-ordination among different stakeholders.
